Placing Your First Order

Shopping at 86brands has been made extremely simple. Just follow the steps below.

1. Search for the product you are looking for, or click on the product category from the navigation tab on the top. You may also click on a product icon directly from the homepage. From the search result page or from anywhere else on the site, select the product you would like to purchase.

2. You would reach the product description page. Go through the product profile page carefully. Please note product availability and product shipping estimates mentioned on the product page carefully.

3. Once you have selected the product, enter the quantity you would like to purchase and click on the Add to Cart button on the right as shown in the figure above. This would take you to the Checkout page, where essentially you can review your selection and proceed to checkout. 86brands now requires you to register if you are a new user to 86brands. Registering at 86brands is simple, just enter your Name, username and password and you are done. Upon successful registration and login, you are taken to the Shipping Details page.

4. Enter shipping address. You need to enter the following

·      Phone number,

·      Your shipping address, and

·      You’re billing address (if different from shipping address).

You may also specify a particular delivery date and provide special instructions for your order on this page. On completing entering data on this page you need to click on Make Payment link to proceed towards making a payment for the product(s).

5. Choose a payment option from the options mentioned, for example Cash on Delivery, Credit Card, Debit Card, NetBanking, etc.

6. Upon successful payment, your order is placed. You will see a "Checkout complete" screen with your order number as shown below.

7. You may view the order placed by you under Your Account section of the site.

Changing and Cancelling Orders

Currently there is no provision to change orders once the payment has been made.

Cancelling Your Order

 COD and CCD Orders

For COD orders you can cancel your order at any time prior to shipment of the product from our warehouses. Just sign-in into "Your Account" and click on "View Orders" link that shows you open orders. You can click on "Cancel order" next to your pending order.

Non COD Orders

Non COD orders cannot be canceled.

Adding Items and Combining Orders

We currently do not allow the facility of adding or combining orders once they have been placed. In case of COD orders that have not been shipped, you may cancel the order and place another one.

Restocking charges

In cases of orders cancelled after the products being procured or shipped there would be a restocking fee applicable as per the product category. International Books will attract a restocking fee of 25% of the order value. All other orders will attract a restocking fee of 10% of the order value.

Product Price & Warranty

The product price displayed on the website includes handling and payment charges. Free shipping is offered as a promotion within India on most of the products on 86brands. Wherever applicable a shipping cost will be mentioned on the product detail page.

Warranty information

Most products sold on with full manufacturer warranty. The warranty information for every product varies by the brand and is specified on the product detail page.

Secure Payments

To make online shopping safer, the RBI has made it mandatory for all online transactions to have an extra level of authentication. The ‘extra’ level is a password that you will have to enter after entering your credit/debit card details while making online payments. This new technology is called VBV – Verified by Visa or MSC – MasterCard SecureCode.

How do I register my credit / debit card and get this 'extra' password?

Each credit / debit card issuing bank has its own registration process for getting your secure password. Please visit your Bank's website for details.

How do I use this 'extra' password?

You don't have to take any extra step to use this password. Every time you shop / purchase on, during the payment process, you will be redirected to your bank’s website where you will need to enter your Verified by Visa / Mastercard Secure Code password.

Cash on Delivery

Cash on Delivery is an alternate payment method offered in addition to our existing payment options viz. Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Netbanking, Cheques, and Demand Drafts. In Cash on Delivery, you will have to pay the order amount to our courier partners at the time of the actual delivery, rather than paying in advance.

All products which have the Cash on delivery icon as shown above on their details page are available for cash on delivery in selected locations.

Placing an order using Cash on Delivery

Placing an order using Cash on Delivery payment option is simple. Please follow the steps below


·      Identify the products with Cash on Delivery available that you want to purchase.

·      Add them to your Shopping Cart.

·      Proceed to checkout.

·      Enter your shipping addresses and proceed to the payment page.

·      Please select Cash on Delivery as your payment option.

·      You will be asked to verify your mobile number, for which a 6 digit verification code will be sent to you  by SMS. Your mobile number is necessary for us as well our courier partner, in case we need to get in touch with you regarding your order or delivery.

·   Enter 6 digit verification code which you would have received by SMS.

·      On successful verification of mobile number your order will be placed.

·      In case the SMS does not reach you, there will be a screen that will appear after a few seconds to prompt you for order completion.

·      In case you do not have a mobile number, please contact our customer service (Contact us).

·      Paying for a Cash on Delivery
You will have to pay the order amount in Cash to our shipping partners at the time of the actual delivery.

Currently, Cash on Delivery is available across many selected locations within India.

Paying using Cash On Delivery on an order
You can select Cash On Delivery on an order if

 ·      Your selected products are available for Cash on Delivery.

 ·      Your location is serviceable by courier partners providing cash collection services. Generally we service all major locations in India (some remote locations might not be serviced).

 ·      Your order total amount is less than Rs. 1,00,000

 ·      You have a valid mobile number.

Please note that if your shopping cart has multiple items where some of the items are not eligible for Cash on Delivery, the payment option will not be available at check out.

 Same Day Delivery

We offer same day delivery on a range of gift items in selected locations across the country.

You can select items available for Same Day Delivery using the navigation bar located on the left side on the Gifts tab.

What should I do if I can't find what I want to sell in your catalog?

Marketplace items will appear on product detail pages. If does not carry the item, then we do not have a page on which to list your item.

How will I know when I have a sale? Are there any fees for selling?

We will e-mail and SMS you when a customer requests your contact information upon arriving at your item for sale. For a limited period, we will have no fees for sellers to list and sell products on platform.

How will buyers find my item for sale?

Buyers can view used items by clicking on used (under condition widget) in the navigation bar. Buyers can also do search from any detail page where a similar listing to yours shows up.

I submitted my vehicle for sale but it does not show up in search?

Every submission needs to be approved by our customer service staff. It usually happens within 24 hours. If you have waited for more than 24 hours and your submitted listing will not show in search, please feel free to email us:
